Absecon Saltwater Sportsmen

Meeting of May 9, 2011
The meeting of the Absecon Saltwater Sportsmen was called to order by President Jim Van Daley. The club performed the Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence for our Military.

Secretary’s Report: The minutes of April 11, 2011 were read and approved.

Treasurer’s Report: General Account: N/A Charity Account: N/A

Trustee Report: Nothing to report.

G.A.B.T Report: Information is out for the June 4 tournament.

In House Tournament: First tournament is May 28. Call Charlie Elwell at 609-926-3259 to sign up. The cost is $35/tournament. Sign up for all 4 tournaments – $120 ($20 savings).

Open Tournament: Tournament will be help on 3rd Saturday in July.

Sunshine: No report of anyone sick.

Club Picnic: Nothing to report.

Federation: Donated $200 to the Nuncio Bruno kid’s bluefish tournament. Meeting will be held on the 12th.

NJ Marine Fishery: Several changes on the council board including Ed Goldman will no longer be on the council. Make sure you are registered with the NJ registry at http://www.nj.gov/dep/saltwaterregistry

ASWS Web Site: Looking into adding a Facebook page for the club with links to the club website.

New Applications: 6 new applicants were welcomed to the club.

Unfinished Business:

Hook on Fishing: Nuncio Bruno bluefish tournament on May 14. We will be meeting by noon to help out with the tournament.

Installation Diner: Nothing to report.

Elections: Nothing to report.

Good of the Order: Kids had a great time at Patriot Lake. Several large catfish were caught.
