ABSECON SALTWATER SPORTSMEN
MINUTES
October 12, 2015

The meeting opened with a salute to the flag and a moment of silence for our troops, with President Jim Van Daley presiding. The minutes of the September 28 meeting were read and approved. The treasurer’s report was read and approved.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

TRUSTEES: No report.

GACF: Ed Goldman reported that the next GACF meeting will be held on October 21at the
Legion. They will also hold a sponsors’ dinner at the Pleasantville Yacht Club on November 7.

SUNSHINE: No report.

FEDERATION: No report.

NJ MARINE FISHERIES: No report.

WEBSITE/FACEBOOK: No report.

TOURNAMENTS: Land and Sea Chairman Paul Stonerod reported no changes.

COMMUNICATIONS: No report.

NEW MEMBERSHIP: Ronald Famularo was approved as a new member. Contact information will be sent
to Bob Cusack.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Charlie and Jim are still working on getting the raffle license renewed.

NEW BUSINESS: The Atlantic City Boat Show will be held on February 3 to 7, 2016. In reference to
our installation dinner, Lou will contact the Crab Trap for a good date in February. President Van Daley presented a
check for $600.00 to the Field of Dreams; they were very appreciative.

ELECTIONS: nominations for officers and trustees for 2016: Sargent at arms: Shaun Van Daley; Secretary: Bob Cusack; Treasurer: Charles Elwell; Vice President: Lou Schott, President: Jim Van Daley. Trustees: Joe Ricciardi, Bob Zussman, David Holmes, John Reese, Paul Stonerod, and Harry Walker.

GOOD OF THE ORDER: No report.

Next meeting: Monday, November 9 at 7:30 PM.

The meeting opened with a salute to the flag and a moment of silence for our troops, with President Jim Van Daley presiding. The minutes of the September 14 meeting were read and approved with one correction: it was printed that there was a meeting of the Federation on September 17, but in fact there was no meeting that date.

The treasurer’s report was read and approved.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

TRUSTEES: No report.

GACF: The gift auction will be held at Parkertown Fire House on October 17.

SUNSHINE: No report.

FEDERATION: No report.

NJ MARINE FISHERIES: No report.

WEBSITE/FACEBOOK: Picnic pictures were posted to both the Website and to Facebook.

TOURNAMENTS: No change. Still no entries for perch or striper.

COMMUNICATIONS: There were some thank you letters sent to Captains/Sponsors that were “returned to sender.”

APPLICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP: No new applicants.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Charlie and Jim are working on getting the raffle license renewed.

NEW BUSINESS: The Tuckerton decoy event was held on September 26 and 27.

PICNIC: Lou donated unused food from the picnic to the Community Food Bank; they were very appreciative. We need to get Brian Will’s girlfriend’s name on the dessert plaque.

GOOD OF THE ORDER: No report.
