ABSECON SALTWATER SPORTSMEN
MINUTES
December 11, 2017
The meeting was brought to order by Jim Van Daley, President, with a salute to the flag and a moment of silence for our troops. The minutes from the November 13 meeting were read and approved. The Treasurer’s report was read and approved.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
TRUSTEES: No report.
GACF: No report.
SUNSHINE: No report.
FEDERATION All the information was restated about the annual dinner to be held on
President’s day. It will be held at the Greek Orthodox Church in Egg Harbor
Township. Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door.
NJ MARINE FISHERIES: They will hold a January meeting to primarily discuss black sea bass quotas.
HOOKED ON FISHING: No report.
WEBSITE/FACEBOOK: No report.
COMMUNICATIONS: Received bank statement.
MEMBER APPLICATIONS: No new applications.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS: A thank you note was sent to Chris Pezka for his donation of a model
Barnegat bay sneak box to be used as a door prize for the installation
dinner.
NEW BUSINESS: Lou was asked to send a sympathy card to Ron Famularo whose wife just
passed away. Lou Schott announced that the annual installation dinner would
again be held at the Crab Trap on February 2, 2018.
NOMINATIONS: There had been no changes in the nominations for officers or trustees so there
was a motion on the floor by Ed Goldman and seconded with a unanimous
vote to accept the current slate of officers and trustees.
GOOD OF THE ORDER: No discussion.
