September 11, 2017


The meeting was brought to order by Jim Van Daley, President, with a salute to the flag and a moment of silence for our troops. The minutes of the August 28 meeting were read and approved. The treasurer’s report was not available.   Closing balances: Raffle Account: N/A General Account: N/A Charity Account: N/A.





TRUSTEES:                             No report.


GACF:                                         Beef & Beer at Pitney Pub on September 24 1-4 PM. The go cart event was

                                                     canceled. Annual Gift auction on November 4 at the Parkertown firehouse, doors

open at 3PM. Also selling $5 coupon to get 25% off at Boscov’s.


SUNSHINE:                              No report of anyone sick.


FEDERATION:                         Meeting this Thursday, September 13. The Venison dinner is moving to the Greek

                                                     church on Mill Road in EHT.


NJ MARINE FISHERIES:       Meet last Thursday to discussed Sea Bass season. Un-willing to change quota


HOOKED ON FISHING:         No report.


WEBSITE/FACEBOOK:          Need to post picnic pictures.


COMMUNICATIONS:              Received GACF B&B flyer, Jersey Shore boar sale & expo at Lakewood Blue

                                                      Claw Stadium.


MEMBER APPLICATIONS:   One new application for Irene Ryan; members approved the applicant.


UNFINISHED BUSINESS:       Discussed when to run the raffle in 2018.  Several options were talked about.  Issue

                                                      was tabled for later discussion.



NEW BUSINESS:                      No new business.


TOURNAMENTS:                    Perch and Stripped Bass tournament ongoing to 12/31.



PICNIC:                                      Lou thanked everyone who helped. $2,150 was collected, still working bills but it

                                                     looks like around $1,300 for the club.  Elaine Will won the dessert contest. Over 90

people attended. Ran out of crabs, clams, and perch.


GOOD OF THE ORDER:        Absecon mayor and dignitaries attended the 9/11 memorial on Mill Road.  Channel

                                                     10 did a report.



Next meeting:  Monday, September 25 at 8:00 PM.
